Delaware Firm Chooses Omega Legal as New Time,
Billing & Accounting System Firm Lauds Software as Easy to Use, Cost-Effective, Accurate
PHOENIX— Dec. 21, 2005—Omega today announced that Barros, McNamara, Malkiewicz & Taylor, P.A. of Dover, Delaware, has chosen Omega Legal as its new time, billing and accounting software. After evaluating several other options, including PC Law, the firm concluded that Omega Legal was easier to use, offered more meaningful and accurate information in its reports and was more cost effective. The firm expects to go live in February.
The firm’s previous financial software provider had been acquired and they were no longer getting the support they needed. Patricia L. Keen, the firm’s bookkeeper, said the firm originally planned to move to an application service provider model but it preferred that the data be stored onsite — and the ASP wasn’t cost–effective either.
“We were able to test several offerings online and Omega Legal truly proved itself as the most user friendly and most cost–effective offering that would give us the meaningful reports we need,” Keen said. “We then surveyed other firms in Delaware that were using the software and they all highly endorsed it. That’s a strong recommendation.”
“With Omega Legal, we can now easily check for conflicts as well as run profitability reports from one software,” she added. “There were less expensive products out there but we feel this one is definitely worth it for us.”
