Donald A. Gall, ScD
President
and Chief Executive Officer
Don Gall is the founder of Omega and oversees the vision of the company.
Don earned his Doctor of Science degree from MIT and later joined the faculty
of Carnegie-Mellon University as Associate Professor of Mechanical and
Bioengineering, where he taught automatic control theory and the computer
simulation of dynamic physical systems. He later served as Research Associate
Professor of Surgery and Anesthesiology at the School of Medicine at University
of Pittsburgh.
In 1973, Don left academics to become Director of Bioengineering at the
Arizona Heart Institute in Phoenix. In 1975, Don began a consulting company,
D.A. Gall and Associates, which later became Omega Legal Systems, Inc.
Don is credited for outstanding achievements in such diverse fields as
automotive, aerospace, medicine, networking and computer database design. Most
recently, Don was recognized by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
as Outstanding Alumnus - Mechanical & Industrial Engineering. Don received a
US patent on one aspect of a fuel injection system, and was honored by the
International Conference on Research in Production (CIRP) for work on the
optimal control of manufacturing processes. Don was also recognized as the first
American to receive CIRP's Taylor Medal.
Today, Don remains directly involved in the development of Omega's products
and continues to lecture, most recently at the University of Illinois and at the
University of California at Davis.
Linda Brower
Vice
President of Administration
Linda Brower has been with Omega Legal Systems since 1982.
Prior to joining Omega, Linda was the manager of personnel and accounting for
Phoenix-based Advanced Computer Techniques. Prior to ACT, Linda was responsible
for establishing start-up procedures for bulk petroleum plants and for
maintaining inventory records at United Refining Company in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Both her career and academic pursuits in accounting and education make Linda
uniquely qualified in managing Omega's administration functions.
Cheryl Burton
Programming
Manager
Cheryl joined Omega in March 1991 as a Programmer/Analyst. Her department is
responsible for beta site management and Quality Assurance for new software,
data conversion for new installations, customizations and client technical
support.
Born and raised in Jamaica W.I., Cheryl received her B.S. in Computer Science
with a concentration in Business at the University of New Orleans, La. After
graduation, she returned to Jamaica and worked for Computer Creations where she
developed custom computer programs.
Cheryl returned to UNO and received an M.S. in Mathematics with a concentration
in Computer Science. In August of 1990, the day after graduating from UNO,
Cheryl moved to Phoenix to work for Digital Equipment Corporation. Cheryl joined
Omega Legal Systems shortly after.
Debi Young
Client
Services Manager
Debi joined Omega in May 1998 as a Project Manager. Currently she manages the
client services team that is responsible for providing application and technical
support for Omega products and designated third party products to customers,
partners and company associates.
Born and raised in Preston, Idaho (also Napoleon Dynamite's hometown); Debi
attended Idaho State University and graduated from University of Phoenix with a
B.S. in Business Administration.
Debi's experience includes over 20 years as a controller for many industries
including law firm, retail, construction, multi-family housing and hospitality.
Mary Steele
Product
Manager
Mary's professional career has spanned a wide range of accounting,
consulting, financial and software industries.
Currently, she is the product manager for Omega's financial and practice
management system, Omega Legal. Since joining Omega in 1999, Mary has also
held senior positions in project management and client education.
Prior to Omega, Mary owned and operated a computer accounting and tax
consulting business for privately owned retail and professional service
organizations.
Mary had been a CPA for 12 years in both public and private practice. She has
a B.A. Degree in Accounting from Mundelein College of Loyola University,
Chicago, Ill. She is a popular speaker at national and regional software
educational seminars and conferences.
