OMEGA CLOSE UP:

Kathie Burnside -   In Memoriam

July 4th, 1960 - February 23, 2008

Kathie Burnside, a 10-year employee at Omega, passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 23rd, following a brief illness. Kathie was a lifelong resident of Arizona, graduating from Coronado High School in Scottsdale and Arizona State University in Tempe.

Kathie started in the Customer Support department at Omega. For the past 6 years, she worked in the Quality Assurance department, testing new products prior to launch. Before joining Omega, Kathie worked as a bank auditor and as an accountant at the O’Connor Cavanagh law firm in Phoenix—a long-time Omega client.

Kathie will always be remembered for her devotion to family, her affection for her Golden Retrievers and for her love of the spectacular sunsets over Cholla Bay in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico. She enjoyed Mexican food, Corona beer and taking cruises to visit other countries. A very caring person, Kathie liked helping clients and meeting them face-to-face at Omega Educational Conferences.

Memorial services to celebrate Kathie's life were held on Saturday, March 1st in Phoenix. Kathie’s wishes were that in lieu of flowers, donations should be made to either of her favorite charities—Rescue a Golden of AZ or the Arizona Humane Society.

She is survived by her devoted parents, Ralph and Marion Barlow, her brothers David, Jay, and Lee Barlow, her loving companion of many years Doug Coburn and a large circle of extended family and friends.

Kathie’s bright smile will be truly missed at Omega, but never forgotten.
